Faith Statement
We believe that the entire Bible (both the New and Old Testaments) is God's complete and inerrant revelation, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit through its authors, and is the highest authority and standard for our faith and daily living.
As recorded in the Bible, 2 Timothy 3:16–17: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
We believe in the one true God, the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are equal in honor and glory. As recorded in John 10:30, Jesus said: “I and the Father are one.”
〇 We firmly believe that God the Father is...
The God Who Exists by Himself (I AM WHO I AM): In the Bible, Exodus 3:14 records that God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Say this to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Jehovah: In the Bible, Exodus 6:3 records God as saying: “I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty; but by my name Jehovah I was not known to them.”
〇 We firmly believe that the Son is...
Jesus Christ (Messiah): In the Bible, Matthew 1:21 records the angel saying to Joseph: “She (Mary) will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”; The angel's words are also recorded in Luke 2:11: "The angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.'"
The Only Begotten Son of the Father: In the Bible, John 3:16 records Jesus saying: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit (Immaculate Conception): In the Bible, Luke 1:34–35 records: “Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be? I am still a virgin.’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy child to be born will be called the Son of God.’”
The Savior: In the Bible 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, the Apostle Paul says: “The most important message I received and passed on to you is this: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”; Also in 1 John 4:14: "And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world."
〇 We firmly believe that the Holy Spirit is...
God's Own Spirit: In the Bible, Romans 8:11 states: “If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you, then God, who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Holy Spirit who lives in you.”
*(Also called the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Jesus)
The Counselor: In the Bible, in John 14:16–17, Jesus said: “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you.”; Also, in the Bible, in John 14:26, Jesus said: “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
We believe that God created the universe and all things, as recorded in the Bible, Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
We believe that human beings are created in the image of God, as recorded in the Bible, Genesis 1:27: “So God created mankind in His own image; in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”
We believe that all people are sinful and incapable of saving ourselves; no works can make us righteous. Only Jesus Christ can forgive our sins, and only by believing in Jesus Christ can we be freely justified. As recorded in Romans 3:23-24 of the Bible: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are freely justified by his grace through the redemption that came through Christ Jesus." Also recorded in Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of your own making; it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one may boast."
We believe that Jesus Christ came to this world as an infant, live the life of man, fully God yet fully man. In obedience unto the Father’s will, He sacrificed himself to atone for the sins of the world, was crucified, and rose again three days later, returning to the Father. As recorded in Philippians 2:6-8: "Who, though he (Jesus) was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." ; Also in Hebrews 12:2: "...fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Who endured the cross, scorning its shame, for the joy set before him, and now sits at the right hand of the throne of God." And in Luke 24:6-7: "He (Jesus) is not here; he has risen! Remember what he said to you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinners, crucified, and raised to life on the third day.'"
We believe that only the Holy Name and precious blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse us from all our sins and bring us salvation. As recorded in Ephesians 1:7: "For by his abundant grace we are redeemed through the blood of his beloved Son, and our sins are forgiven." Also recorded in 1 John 1:7: "If we live in the light, as God is in the light, we are able to have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, the Son of God, is able to cleanse us from all sin." And in Acts 4:12, it is also recorded: "There is no Savior in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given by which we must be saved."
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the church. As it is written in Ephesians 1:22-23: "He (Jesus) placed all things under his feet and made him head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all things."
We believe that as long as we trust in Jesus Christ, we will have eternal life and there will be no more death. As recorded in Romans 6:23 of the Bible: "For the price of sin is death, but the gift God has given through Christ Jesus is eternal life." John 17:3 also states: "This is eternal life—their knowledge of You, the only true God, and of Jesus Christ whom You have sent." Revelation 21:4 further states: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
We believe that throughout our lives, all of God's children (Christians) should follow the Great Commandment and the Great Commission given to us by Jesus Christ:
The Great Commandment: In the Bible, Matthew 22:37-40 records: "Jesus answered, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and most important commandment. The second is similar: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' All the teachings of the Law and the Prophets are based on these two commandments."
The Great Commission: The Bible, Matthew 28:18-20 records: "Jesus went up to his disciples and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I command you. Remember that I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"
